Inspired by a glorious vintage Kantha (70 or so years old) found in Bengal, India, these very special tablecloths have a printed pink border and green trellis but the stars have been faithfully copied and hand-embroidered just like the original pictured here. The vintage kantha I have recreated had a quirk; one blue embroidered star. This has been reproduced here and is a great conversation piece as to why this might have been!
On lovely white linen, the printed border replicates the original hand-embroidered most beautifully, and has an almost silvery pink feel to it, which is magical. One glance is enough to know that these are high quality boutique pieces. Equally beautiful on a garden table or a Christmas table, and robust enough to be used as a throw on a chair or sofa or as a bedspread, these really are gorgeous. It is a testament to them that so many people who have bought them have then returned for a second as they love them so much.
Pure cotton, colourfast at 40* wash and absolutely stunning inside or outside the house.
