About Us
Having been a full-time mother to our 3 offspring with a shared, time-consuming passion in horses and my own love of gardens, I founded PARASOL-UK to fulfill a long-held dream to maximise my use and joy in our garden for as many months of the year as possible with family and friends.
Out of sheer frustration through searching for such a parasol ourselves, my daughter, Susie, and I committed to producing our own; the loveliest hand-crafted luxury garden parasols anywhere, inspired by the beauty of India, using the superb skillls of her craftspeople and delivering the best possible customer service.
Susie is still very much involved, but I manage the day to day business which has exceeded every dream and is growing all the time in its reach and range, including a bespoke offer.
OUR WORKSHOP
We are proud of our workshops in Jaipur where we work in close partnership with family with whom we have been building a relationship over several years and two more workshops who also maintain excellent standards for their work force. Their craftsmanship is superb, and their passion to achieve our common aim is a huge inspiration and responsibility to us and a powerful motivation.
OUR COLLECTION
We specialise in canopies designed for the British weather. As well as holding stock in 3 sizes of luxury garden parasols in several colourways, we believe we are the only company to offer robust powder-coated steel pop-up gazebos on exactly the same lines - waterproof outer canopies with block-printed inners. And now our romantic garden pavilion tents - they sold out in a heartbeat this year, and there will be more in 2026.
BESPOKE
As well as our regular stock of parasols, gazebos and tents, we work with events, venues and private clients to supply a wide variety of canopies in a choice of your own colours and designs. Whether you are a garden designer, a party planner, a restaurant owner or would like a beautiful tent for your garden or party.... please contact us to discuss - but don't delay, bespoke rarely arrives overnight!
Our CHARITY
My own garden has opened to support the wonderful charities of the National Garden Scheme through their iconic yellow Garden Visitor’s Handbook for over 30 years, and we are extremely proud and honoured to be one of their very elite band of official supporters. We give a percentage of all parasol sales to the National Garden Scheme, which is passed on to nursing and health charities which either you and I, or someone known to almost all of us has benefitted from. Your support in this is greatly appreciated, thank you
OUR SERVICE
Customer Service is so important to us; we want you to enjoy every aspect of interacting with us, from browsing the website, following us on social media, to loving what you've bought. We aim to always hold a small stock so that no-one is disappointed if they suddenly want a parasol - there will be no long wait once you've ordered, and we'll keep you informed all the way. We are here to help - please do ask! We can also offer a bespoke service - whether it be restaurants, spas, business or events, we love to work on orders to your own requirements.

Our distinctive canopies: garden parasol in 3M, 2.7M and 2.3M, pop up gazebos and romantic pavilion tents. Waterproof plain upper canopy edged in a complementary colour to the beautiful hand-blocked decorative inner lining.
CLOTHING
Traditional pyjamas, unisex bottoms, dresses and nightwear all in gorgeous block printed cotton and with emphasis on comfort and practicality
